Can you explain the difference between this fabric and the high twisted medium weight linen? The weight is very similar, so can you describe how they feel or drape different? For reference, I am planning to make a maxi dress that will be partially lined, but not entirely. Thank you.

This fabric is soft, it drapes very naturally. The fabric surface is flat.


The high twisted linen fabric is more linen-ish.

it is less soft but the handfeel is cooler. You may feel this is a bit harsh, but not stiff. It has natural washed texture, drapes okay.

How opaque is this fabric? Could you see bright or dark undergarments through it?

The fabric is basically opaque, but depending on the lighting and background color, the background can be slightly visible.
